Gala Education Company has been serving the educational sector for more than 10 years. We are committed to raising the standard of professional knowledge by providing a solid array of public and in-house-based training and development programs.

In soft-skills training, we are experts in the areas of creativity, decision making, and the applications of critical thinking in technical writing. We conduct our doctoral-level research in-house and design cutting-edge programs that synthesize theories with practical needs. Our clients in soft-skills include the Hong Kong Government, CLP, Towngas, professional bodies and universities in Asia Pacific.

In hard-skills training, we have our root in providing advanced training to financial professionals. We have been appointed the program director of the Young Finance Summer Camp of the University of Hong Kong since 2013 and have successfully delivered financial seminars to over 1,000 international participants. Our other professional clients in finance include the Securities and Futures Commission (SFC) of Hong Kong, major investment banks and other professional bodies.
We are also active in finance for non-finance education and regularly provide training to audience from different fields. Our trainers are very well-received for their talents in breaking down complicated concepts into understandable terms. We offer authorized finance-related CPD training programs for members of the Hong Kong Institution of Engineers (HKIE), and train staff from major corporates in business acumen and ability to analyze financial aspects for different business projects.

OUR FOUNDER
Dr KONG Kwok-Wai
Founder and Partner
Dr. Kong has extensive business experience acquired from roles he has held at major international investment banks in New York and Hong Kong. He is the former Asia Pacific head of Transaction Review Function (Structured Products) at Barclays Capital. Prior to joining Barclays Capital, Dr. Kong worked at the New York office of BNP Paribas structuring and managing financial products.
Before his banking career, Dr. Kong worked as a project engineer at China Light and Power Company and was actively engaged in the construction of the Black Point power plant. He was a chartered engineer and holds a Master’s degree in mechanical engineering.

Dr. Kong frequently lectures at various organizations and universities in the areas of management, quantitative finance and decision making. He is currently a partner at the Gala Education Company and a visiting lecturer at two universities in Hong Kong .
